Dear All,
My name is Mariia Ruban. I have been teaching English at secondary schools in Ukraine since 1984. Have had a lot of experience facilitating teenagers with the opportunity to become conscious sitizens.
Believe that the teacher has more power in their classroom than any Prime Minister in their Cabinet. So I have been doing my best to use this opportunity and make a difference in my learners' lives.
I have been thinking teaching and teaching thoughts since I graduated from the Pedagogical University in 1984.
I am here on the course to learn and share.

Hi Mariia, that is so true and Phil, love the quote. That is true, too. I am still in touch with students from almost 20 years ago via FB, Twitter, etc. They have become teachers themselves and I hope that they have carried on a few of the things we learned together in our classes.

ReplyDeleteCarmen Medina Dear Carmen, the social media are great for keeping in touch with people, and learning as well. Some of my learners graduated more than 30 years ago, and some are teachers now, even University professors and managers of companies abroad, so it's great to meet them , at least in the virtual world. Believe I have been part of their successful careers :)
