Hello everyone

Hello everyone,
I'm Carmen. I'm currently living and working in Dubai at the Higher Colleges of Technology, Dubai Men's Campus. I'm the Foundations Program Coordinator. I was born and raised in Canada. My parents were Spanish. I am on a voluntary leave of absence from my position at a language school in Spain. I'm looking forward to meeting new teachers and sharing ideas. I like to think of myself as a lifelong learner that is why I am always looking for new learning experiences.

  1. Life-long learning is what keeps us curious. I love how you took time off to work somewhere else. This is something I want to try soon.

  2. Rhett Burton Hi, I have done this several times. I work for a government-owned Spanish language school. They are called Escuelas Oficiales de Idiomas (Official School of Languages). I have been working there for about 25 years, but I have taken several leaves to go back to Canada, to the US, Saudi Arabia and now UAE.
It is refreshing to see ELL in other parts of the world and to do different jobs within the same field.
    I totally recommend it! :)
