Greetings!

Greetings!

This material is developed for A2 and B3 students. It's adapted from BBC Food website. Yummy!

  1. Thanks for sharing your materials – they made me feel hungry! I think food is a universally motivating topic and the BBc website is a good source for authentic texts. The materials look very professional and the activities follow a logical sequence.

Activity 2 – I’d have all the verbs without a capital letter (in their boxes).
Activity 3 – Missing full stop after description in 1. (A minor detail but I’m trying to find things to comment on).

Overall these materials are simple nd effective. I imagine that in practice they’d throuw out a lot more vocabulary too . I’d be tempted to incude a personalisation activity at the end where students say which recipe looks most appealing or easiest to cook.

  2. The lesson will constitute an opportunity for the students to discover other culinary traditions. Well done!

  3. Katherine Bilsborough Yeah! I forget to include a personalised activity. Perhaps students can try making up a new recipe using just 5 ingredients! There might as well be a cooking demonstration.
