Hello everyone!

Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing fine. This is my assignment for this week which includes the lesson plan and designed worksheets. The plan itself is not that much detailed, I just wanted to present the idea on how we can use a short video as an authentic material for teaching purposes.
Your constructive feedback would be highly appreciated. See you on Sunday :)

  1. Hi Ereza,

Thanks very much for sharing these materials and I’m really sorry I missed them until now! This is a very motivating topic for the right context and students. I’m sure peopel will have plenty tos ay about it. Thanks for the lesson plan. It is clear that you gave a lot of thought to the stages of the lesson and how the materials will be used in a logical sequence.

Using a video is always motivating of course – this one is ideal.

I love the worksheets. The first one is so simple and yet Works so well. Most students like variety and this is certainly a nice change from the usual exercises. To be able to draw adds a dimension of creativity and we have personalisation here too. I’d love to see this in action and see your studnets’ results – their drawings.

I might add a short question/task to the worksheet about Lisa. Maybe above the text and drawing:

    1. Look and read. What makes Lisa happy?
Then in the next question, I don’t think you need the Word ‘question’. I’d simplify:
    2. Think about what you value most. Then draw or write three to five things that are important to you.
(I said 3-5 to allow for differenrentiation)

The photos (stills) are a ice touch. The task is good too. It isn’t clear whether you want the studnets to write exact sentences or just in their own words. Maybe that can be clarified.

    Lovely!
