  1. Laura after reading all this I think I am going to see my morning coffee in a different way! What a great idea! The worksheet is perfectly structured and the ideas and images for conversation are really engaging and stimulating! The quiz/fun facts is really interesting and I had never used RD before but I am going to do that now. You work is really good! My students are too young and I think they do not drink coffee, otherwise I would love to use it in my classroom! Thanks

  2. Miss Alex Thank you. Wonder if there is anything that could be used with your students using the same structure? Pizza perhaps? (ham and pineapple pizza usually causing interesting reactions with Italian students ;-))

  3. Coffee as a topic is a great choice for adult learners. My students always ask me how to order the coffee the way they like before they travel anywhere. When they can successfully complete this every day task, it is a great confidence boost. I think you have a nice variety of activities around the topic as well.

  4. Hi Laura,

Thnaks for sharing your week 3 materials. I felt like a coffee straight away … and I’m nore of a tea drinker!

This ppt is lovely. The images are great, the discussion prompts and questions are good and there is a lot of support and guidance.
I can think of lots of classes I’ve taught where they would have been successful.

The link to the quiz is great – and fun. And then there’s the added bonus of the cultural information.
    Top class!

  5. Katherine Bilsborough I actually have one on tea as well! ;-D (posting this here because it's relevant to your reply, but imagine the others can see it and are welcome to use it if interested). If it's tricky please let me know where it's relevant to post it.
