Hi everyone!

Hi everyone!
I love memes.
My students love memes.
So, I made a lesson on critical thinking about memes, leading up to the question prompt: Memes sometimes use people’s photos without their permission. What are the potential negative effects of this? Describe 3 things people can do to stop these negative effects from happening.
I work in a digital classroom, so I made a presentation as I usually would. Teacher notes are comments in the presentation. The presentation is sent to students as a pdf so they can take notes on their iPads on the document. It's also shown on the projector in the classroom. Enjoy!

  1. Charlotte, I love both the idea of using memes and the way you exploited it to create a meaningful and useful lesson. Well done. Congrats.

  2. Hi Charlotte,

Thanks for sharing your materials for Week 3. Memes are a great source for creating materials and I’m sure your students (and others) will find them motivating.

A really lovely set of materials. The ppt is great! I’m sure other participants would be very happy to use materials like this. Thanks for all the extra information too – this kind of thing is valuable for a teacher who might like to expand on the information they give their students.

You’ve designed these materials as a way to promote critical thing. Yo’ve certainly done that!

I like the penultimate Q especially as it gets students thinking about copyright and everyone will have an opinión on this. I like the exit ticket too.
All in all a great set of materials that I’m unable to fault! Well done.
