Finally finished a draft of the Week 2 materials assignment. It's for students preparing to take an undergrad or postgrad course in business and management (B2/C1), leading on from last week's work, and at this stage it's only looking at reading skills as I haven't got round to a language focus yet (and if I start that now I'll never get it finished in time).

Really clear instructions and nice clean, Sharp design in the materials. That’s always a good start.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to create materials like this to help studnets understand what is to be expected of them – learning to learn, study skills … it ticks a lot of boxes.
I also like the fact that you have included examples. I’m a big fan of examples.
There is an awful lot of information here. That’s good of course. I’m wondering how long it would take for these materials to be used – over what period of time.
I can’t fault the tasks or the instructions. They are logically sequenced and very clear. Well done!
Katherine Bilsborough Thanks again for the feedback, much appreciated, and apologies for the delay in responding - currently teaching on a pre-sessional course which is taking up a lot of hours. Yes, perhaps too much information in these materials - got a bit carried away! Looks like it would be need to be spread over a couple of lessons.
