Reading all the other inspiring posts in our Discussion thread, I think that every piece of advice I could give has pretty much been covered :) If I could add one extra piece to the list - which extends what has been previously said about prioritising students' needs- is this: Try to create materials that go beyond the classroom setting, that is motivate your students to learn more about a topic/structure etc. outside the classroom. Give them the spark they need to explore those aspects of language they are personally interested in on their own.
