The advice I would like to give to materials writers (myself included) is: keep it simple.

The advice I would like to give to materials writers (myself included) is: keep it simple. This rings a bell from last course, but it still stands: simple and clear objectives, simple layout, simple instructions. It will make everybody's work more enjoyable. And, I would say especially our work as teachers. We keep pointing out that it is the students' needs that need to be prioritised, which is sacrosanct, but with increasing demands in education and language learning standards we teachers need to be particularly flexible and efficient, and it cannot happen for a long time if we do not look after our needs as people: clear materials that encourage positive thought help us get through our busy teaching lives. With a beneficial effect on the learning process!
