This is my work space. This is where I create my materials, make YouTube videos, plan my uni classes and teach two kid's classes. You might notice the light kits and camera against the wall. They are there because I have been doing live streaming lessons on YouTube recently. I have been making YouTube videos for about six years now, but just started doing live stream lessons and it's been fun. I teach part time at three universities where the average class size is 30 students, but durning my live stream class I get around 500 people from all around the world watching my lesson live and then the numbers continue to climb as people watch the post-live lesson. I have been upgrading equipment as I have been committing myself to this project (live streaming). As teachers, there is really no limit to what we can do.

I'd be interested to talk to you more about the live streaming videos. I have been recording teaching videos for a Chinese e-learning site but I didn't realise it was possible to live-stream videos in that way. I hope you don't mind me asking, but how do you make money from live streaming on youtube?

ReplyDeleteMark Kulek Ah I see - so it works the same as a pre-recorded video. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteEllie Ahmed Yes, and because length of time is an important metric, it’s easier doing a long live stream video than it is making a normal video
