Hey everyone -

Hey everyone -
Here's my last assignment. It's for a flipped-classroom where students read the information on the Five-Paragraph essay on the following websites:

http://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/five_par.htm

http://www.bucks.edu/media/bcccmedialibrary/pdf/FiveParagraphEssayOutlineJuly08_000.pdf

They then complete the crossword puzzle below that I designed on the website www.armoredpenguin.com

I would then have them identify all of the parts of an essay in the following essay, which I got from Longman Academic Writing Series 5:

  1. + Hi Amy P , it's an amasing activity!!! It's a great way to learn and recycle essay writing, and in a fun way :) Thank you for sharing.
    I also love flipped classes.

  2. Maria Ruban Thank you! I really would like to try it out with my students. You may use this activity if you'd like. I changed the file where I had a pdf so that it had directions for the activity, and I also included a citation.

  3. + Amy, thank you for the permission :) Will do with pleasure, one day :) My eldest learners are in the 8th form. But we work a lot on writing. I might use you idea, though and generate a writing material appropriate for the level. Will have to figure out how the crossword generator works ;)
    Thank you tremendously.

  4. Great! I like everything about it. I've made a couple of comments on the actual document.
