Hi everyone,
This week I focused more on creating a worksheet. I used one of my students' projects on "The Ideal School" to create a worksheet that can be used as one of the stages leading to a similar project . I thought it would be easy, but I had to edit the students' poster to be able to use it . I also tried Canva, a website recommended by Ahlem Marrakchi , for the first as I have seen a lot of her beautiful lesson materials. I had to create my worksheet on Word first, then it was easier to choose a template from Canva and edit it according to the content I have. It's not that beautiful, but I think it's fine in terms of using SGM to create an activity. You can find the worksheet here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1sB0aRvzjsrMU1pKy8SzbImLwak2UrnuO/view?usp=sharing

I think the ideas will be convincing for the students and that they will relate to them as they come from other students who share the same context. I just would like to point out that the writing in the second part could cause some problems in reading for some students. I have the same problem with my materials as the writing is not quite legible.
ReplyDeleteDo you mean the writing in the model ? If so, I agree. But I can scan their work for better quality if I know I am going to use it to create materials!
ReplyDeleteOh hello writing buddy! I really like the idea and was jealous of your students posters when I saw them displayed :-) Will definitely be trying the activity when I have young learners again.
ReplyDeleteAhlem Marrakchi thank you dear though not as creative as yours. Still exploring ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Ayat,
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your materials with the group. I love the idea of the theme ‘my ideal school’ because it’s someting that every student will have an opinion about – every teacher too! Using your students’ poster as materials is just lovely too – inspiring and motivating for them.
The worksheet you’ve designed looks really professional. I wouldn't worry about the quality of the scanning for now. To be honest, I'd imagine that in a classroom you'd use the actual poster and just have the matching activity on the worksheet. Well done.
