In an era when the image culture is so dominant, make your materials appealing, interesting and motivating. At the same time, think of smart ways to make students read and think more - not only about language, but in general.
Myrto, this is an interesting point. However, what is appealing for one person might not be appealing for another. How would you define/narrow down "appealing"?
Roman Ociepa When I teach, I always try to discover what my students' interests are. You have to get to know your students and be able to sense their likes and dislikes, I guess. Also, the materials should be well-presented and make students willing to deal with them.
