This is my week 3 material. I used a photo of my daughter and her best friend Davor for teaching comparison of adjectives. / Young Learners, A1 - A2 level appropriate /
Thank you for sharing your materials with the group. I’ve had a bit of trouble seeing them clearly but have more or less managed to see them enough to be able to comment. How lovely to use a photo of your daughter and her best friend – I bet they were delighted!
The materials are laid out well and there is a nice amount of space around each item – this helps studnets understand and access the materials easily. I have a few suggestions regarding the instructions.
1. I’d remove ‘Directions’. It isn’t necessary. Maybe simplify. E.g. Use the adjectives to describe the children in the photo.
2. I’d remove ‘Comparative for of adjectives’ in the instruction – but you could include it as a section heading. Is it necessary?
I’d add an example.
4. Maybe simplify? E.g. Complete the sentences with the correct word.
5. I’d remove all the upper case letters in the first column of words. I’d also add an example for extra support.
With a few small ‘tweaks’ these materials are great for teaching and practising this language point. Well done.
By the way, as you've discovered, formatting changes are common - we should always see what things look like on different devices before using or printing.
I am sorry for the last letter of *flower and *cherry in exercise 6. When I transferred it from the PC to my phone it changed... I am so sorry! :(
