Here is my week 1 assignment. My apologies for the delay.
The short text I have chosen is a quote by famous graffiti artist Banksy :
“People say graffiti is ugly, irresponsible and childish ... but that’s only if it’s done properly.”
And here is the wraparound materials that I have imagined for the art and design students that I will be teaching next year (Upper intermediate/B2-C1)

I am quite used to adapt coursebooks to my students' needs but I don't feel very confident in my ability to create original materials. So any feedback would be most helpful !!

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your materials. Creating your own materials is only a short step away from adapting exisiting materials so you should have more confidence in your abilities! These materials are good – and the topic is inspiring for our context (and others).
I am assuming that from ‘ACTIVIIES’ onwards … this is the student worksheet. First of all, you’ve included a good sequence of activities and amanaged to build a really solid unit fo work around the Banksy quote.
Congratulations on your very clear instructions. This is often an aspect that people have problems with. I like that you have included information regarding the interaction too (pairs, groups). It’s all very user-friendly.
I think it would be helpful to have a space – lines – under the jumbled quote where students can write the unjumbled version.
For the final writing task, I’d be inclined to write a title for students to use ore ven a choice of titles. But that’s just a suggestion and others might like the ‘openness’ of the task.
