This is my Week 1 project. I decided to use song lyrics from the song "Love is an arrow" by Aberfeldy to develop a listening/speaking/writing activity for high-intermediate students. The link to the project is below and the link to the music video described in this activity is here:

I loved it :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your materials. I wasn’t able to comment in Google so I’m adding some comments here.
ReplyDeleteI don’t think I know this song so thanks for that – it’s always nice to discover something new. Songs can be very motivating in a classroom so I’m sure students would enjoy using these materials.
You’ve managed to create a lovely set of materials around the song with a logical sequence of activities building up to a nice creative task. I’d love to read students’ poems. Have you used the materials with a class yet?
A few points
A rogue ‘full stop’ before number 1. This is minor but would be picked up by a proof reader in a profesional context.
Nice prediction tasks and nice image.
In task 3 the instruction should probably be: Read the lyrics and do the tasks that follow (or similar).
I love that the materials end with a ‘performance’ because this adds another skill and rounds off things in a nice way.
Really lovely.
