Which ONE piece of advice would you give a teacher who wanted to create there own classroom material? Here is my answer - puzzle :) to Week 3 Discussion question.
"Encourage aesthetic ELT materials that stimulate the emotional left and the intellectual right brain and not rely too much on controlled practice." Nice one Mariia - have I got it right?
Classroom materrials ought to encourage intellectual, aesthetic and emotional involvement. They should fit all learner types, i.e be left and right brain stimulants. It's important not to include too many controlled activities as they do not promote the learner confidence.
Did you create this visual yourself Mariia, or is there a webpage that does it for you? Either way, it would be a nice to use in class to catch the students attention. I'm going to try it this week.
A nice one! :) I used to create word clouds with wordle.net, but it has stopped working on my computer for some reason. I have used worditout, too, but if anyone has other recommendations, I would be grateful.
