Another extra discussion topic:
Workspaces!
Would you like to share a photo of your writing space? We'd love to see where you sit to create your materials.
Feel free to add photos in the comments, or if you have problems sharing that way just add as a post in the 'extra discussion' category. Again, this is optional, if you'd like to share.
To start off, this is my workspace this morning :)

Barbara Hoskins Sakamoto Is that a hamster/rabbit/guinea pig cage off to the side?
ReplyDeleteHere's my writing buddy being very useful in and around my workspace. I used a laptop until quite recently when my partner set up a system for connecting my laptop to a monitor and a keyboard. There are some studies that suggest that this might improve productivity - I think I agree!

ReplyDeleteI have an office in one building, and I teach in 2, 3, or 4 other places on campus (depending on the week). I also have a laptop which goes with me to Starbucks (or wherever). But, mainly....this is my workspace:

This is my workspace. It has everything I need, along with some objects related to happy moments of my career - like the Mafalda doll, that reminds me of when I was a Spanish teacher. I keep ELT books and teen magazines near the computer in order to check them out, select ideas and texts.

Tatiana you are so neat!
ReplyDeleteHere is my story with my workspace for the time being.
ReplyDeleteWith three grandchlidren on holidays at my place at the moment, I don't have my personal space . I maneuvre among houehold appliences and the kids. I chat and watch cartoons wiith them, read books to them, etc. I am able to plunge into digesting the course theory and learning from people's materials late at night and do my assignments anywhere at home with my smartphone being handy, and don't have time to work on computer.
Due to a lack of space, my workspace is also where I paint. I'm a part-time painter, so it's just a colorful mess of paint and scattered books and papers.
ReplyDeleteKatherine Bilsborough, thanks! :D
