Hello everyone! Here is my assignment. Sorry I am sooo late!

  1. Eugenia, I like this lesson plan and you are not late at all! I just finally figured out how to upload my word docs to the Google drive.

I love this story and what it teaches. However, I feel like you should add a few clear-cut objectives so you will be able to measure the students' individual and group progress. Love this story! Do all the different EFL classes use this in 3rd Grade or only your class! I love the benefits that come with grade level and across grade level collaboration. Good job!

  2. Hi Eugenia! No worries about being late. It’s better for me to have materials spaced out. Thanks for sharing yours. By the way, for some reason this document was ‘in the bin’ in Google so I retrieved a copy. I’m adding some comments here.

I love the story about Elmer. I’m not sure I’d consider this a ‘short text’ but it’s lovely for the basis of materials for this age group. At first I thought you’d written the story yourself but I can see it’s a picture book. I asume the children will read the actual picture book.

Do the children see the materials in Google on a worksheet? I’m trying to work out what they would actually see in terms of instructions. The instructions here are probably for teachers (Then, reflect …) I like the list of questions that get the children thinking about values. Do they see the questions written down? (I imagine the teacher just asks them orally).

Lovely story, lovely activities. I think this is more of a lesson plan than ‘materials’ but that’s OK! It might be interesting for you to consider what a Teacher’s guide would look like for these materials – if you were to write it for publication (for other teachers to use).
